Visiting the Surgery
Location
The rooms are located in Suite 1006, Level 10 St Vincent’s Clinic, 438 Victoria St, Darlinghurst. The Clinic is located on the corner of Victoria St and Oxford St, Darlinghurst (next to St Vincent’s Private Hospital).
Lifts are accessible from the reception area on Level 4 of the Clinic. Entry to the Clinic is via Victoria St.
Consultation
Patients should bring their glasses and a list of current medications and allergies. Allow 1-1.5 hours for the consultation.
- Glaucoma patients should instil their drops as usual prior to their appointment.
- Dilating drops are often used during the
consultation. - It is advisable for patients not to drive to their appointment.
- A wait of one hour after the consultation is necessary before driving.
- Sunglasses will help with glare.
Travel
Car Parking is available beneath the Clinic. The entrance to the car park is via Barcom Ave, which is the first left turn off Oxford St after Victoria St, travelling from the city. Parking is charged at the rate of $3.00 per half hour, up to a maximum of $25.00 for four hours or more.
The car park is open from 6.00am to 8.00pm, Monday to Friday.
There is space for disabled/wheelchair parking on Car Park Level 1.
Public Transport
Train: The Clinic is a ten minute walk from Kings Cross Station along Victoria St.
Alternatively, buses leave from Eddy Ave at Central Station and travel up Oxford St to Bondi.
Bus: Buses stop on Oxford St just before and after Victoria St.
